Cooperator of the Year Award
The Hugh E. Cumming Cooperator of the Year Award is named in honor of the Cooperative's second general manager, who guided Pro-Fac and Curtice-Burns through an extended period of growth during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Hugh (1921-1987) was a self-proclaimed "city boy who loved working with and for farmers".
Recipients of this honor must be in the top half of the membership for the member evaluation for each commodity produced, operate a successful and progressive farm business, exhibit leadership in the agricultural industry, be involved in community and civic activities, and epitomize cooperation. The award is a collage artwork of their farm operation.
